Reconstruction of the yard of Primary school "Sv.sv. Kiril i Metodii" - Kostenets, Bulgaria. We are very pleased that this is our next project, where green areas replace asphalt. One different school representing the possibilities of a school yard area.
The terrain is raised with low retaining walls. This creates a new function of the yard. Tribunes to the football field are formed from ground forms, as well as amphitheaters of different sizes, suitable for an open classroom. It is possible for various events from watching sports competitions to theatrical events, music and more. All this in the open area with connection with nature.
An accessible environment is built, inscribed in the design. Particular attention is paid to sports facilities. At the initiative of the school principal, the individual parts of the yard are distributed to all classes. This provide opportunity, at proper weather conditions, for the children to be outside - in their place, which they use both for play and for an open classroom and lunch.
Both in the amphitheaters and along the entire length of the low retaining walls, the upper part is shaped with benches. Even the fountain is decorated in the same style.
